Windows Into Nature is a group exhibition by Kristen Breet, Leanne Breet, and Zenobia Southcombe. Over the last year, we have been creating 10x10cm squares with nature-themed paintings. Nature has an abundance of inspiration, and we have enjoyed exploring the magic of the natural world with paint.
For me, it’s been a way to practice painting and explore different mediums: gouache, watercolour, oils, acrylic, and India ink. I approached each work as an ‘experiment’, sometimes trying out a new tool or style; other times building on a technique to see what I could do better or differently.
Each piece is a little window into nature, and we hope you enjoy this celebration of the beauty, wonder, and colour of nature through our eyes.
