Welcome to Dwindle River Studio.
Kia ora – I’m Zenobia Southcombe, an artist working in drawing, painting, and photography. Born in India, I grew up in Auckland and now live in Palmerston where I operate under Dwindle River Studio, named after the nearby Waihemo River.
I have exhibited widely, most recently at South Canterbury Museum, White Box Gallery, and Dunedin International Airport. My work has been recognised with several small awards, including ‘Finalist’ at the national Hope and Sons Art Awards, and I actively promote the arts in my local community through teaching, collaborations, and pop-up exhibitions.
My work is inspired by my love of the outdoors, and you will often find me enjoying the company of birds and butterflies in the garden, or walking through local nature trails.
