I found this twig, reminiscent of a lucky horse shoe, and it sat on my studio desk for months before I finally found the perfect little rock to rest it on. To balance the rock I added a small tuft of lichen – light, bright, and airy. To me, this image encapsulates meditation and balance in process and final product.

This work has been exhibited at White Box Gallery (2026) and Riversdale Arts (2026).
