Description
“Let there be light” is a photograph of the moon and sun at sunrise, during the solar eclipse of September 2025.
I knew the eclipse was to occur just after sunrise, so I walked down the road to an east-facing view. At first it just looked like a normal sunrise, but as I photographed it I could see the eclipse begin. Here, the sun’s rays peek out behind the moon’s shadow in magical rays, capturing a beautiful moment during this spectacular phenomenon.
This edition was exhibited at Bertha Art Space (2026)West Otago Art Exhibition (2026), and Dunedin Airport (2025).
