Description
“Let there be light” is a photograph of the moon and sun at sunrise, during the solar eclipse of September 2025.
I knew the eclipse was to occur just after sunrise, so I walked down the road to an east-facing view. At first it just looked like a normal sunrise, but as I photographed it I could see the eclipse begin. Here, the sun’s rays peek out behind the moon’s shadow in magical rays, capturing a beautiful moment during this spectacular phenomenon.

Printed in Dunedin on Fujifilm Crystal Archive paper. Framed with a black mat and wooden frame. D-rings and string are attached for easy hanging.
